Slow Closing Silencer Check Valve
The slow closing silencer check valve is a high-performance pipeline protection valve upgraded on the basis of conventional silent check valves, specially designed to eliminate severe water hammer, pipeline vibration and closing noise in large water supply and pumping systems. Combining spring quick-response structure and hydraulic delayed closing technology, this valve realizes two-stage closing: fast closing for most stroke to cut off backflow rapidly, and slow closing for the final stroke to buffer pressure impact. It perfectly solves the common defects of traditional swing check valves such as loud banging, pipe shaking and pressure surge, and becomes the preferred safety supporting valve for pump outlet pipelines in municipal, industrial, HVAC and fire protection engineering.
Different from ordinary one-way valves that close instantly or rely purely on gravity reset, this slow closing silencer check valve adopts an advanced axial guide structure matched with a built-in hydraulic buffer device. During pump shutdown and flow attenuation, the valve disc first moves quickly under spring force to block more than 80% of reverse water volume and prevent large-scale backflow from damaging the water pump. In the last stage of closing, the hydraulic damping system takes over and slows down the disc closing speed significantly. This two-stage closing principle avoids rigid collision between the disc and valve seat, effectively eliminating water hammer pressure peaks and realizing truly silent and stable closing operation.
The valve features full-bore streamlined passage with extremely low fluid resistance and pressure loss, ensuring high-efficiency water delivery during normal system operation. The precision-machined valve disc and EPDM soft sealing seat achieve bubble-tight zero leakage under rated PN10 and PN16 working pressure. The integrated silencing and buffering structure greatly reduces fluid turbulence and pipeline resonance, realizing low-noise operation even in high-flow and high-frequency start-stop working conditions. Compared with conventional check valves, it provides more reliable pipeline protection and longer service life for the entire fluid system.
Manufactured with high-standard industrial materials, the valve body adopts high-strength ductile iron with electrostatic epoxy anti-corrosion coating, which is anti-rust, anti-scale and durable for long-term underwater operation. Internal guide rods, springs and buffer core components are made of high-quality stainless steel with excellent fatigue resistance and structural stability, adapting to millions of cyclic opening and closing actions. The built-in hydraulic buffer is precisely calibrated, free from frequent adjustment and basically maintenance-free in daily operation. All products pass strict shell strength and sealing tests to comply with ISO9001 and CE international certification standards.
In terms of installation and application advantages, the valve supports both horizontal and vertical installation with wafer or flange connection methods, featuring strong adaptability and compact structure to save pipeline space. It is especially suitable for high-rise building water supply, large-scale water treatment plants, industrial circulating water systems, fire pump stations and central air-conditioning systems where water hammer prevention and noise control are required. It can effectively protect water pumps, pipe fittings and pressure gauges from impact damage, reduce pipeline failure rate and lower later maintenance costs.
With dual advantages of anti-water hammer and silent operation brought by two-stage slow closing technology, the slow closing silencer check valve has become an essential core component of modern high-standard fluid pipeline systems. It greatly improves the safety, stability and comfort of water supply and circulation systems, providing long-term and reliable protection for various municipal and industrial engineering projects.
