Electric Wafer Butterfly Valve
The electric wafer butterfly valve is an automatic fluid control valve designed for remote switching and throttling operations in modern pipeline systems. Adopting a lightweight wafer-type body structure and matched with a high-performance electric actuator, this valve replaces traditional manual operation with precise electric drive, realizing intelligent, fast and stable pipeline opening, closing and flow regulation. It is widely recognized as one of the most practical automatic valves for water supply, drainage, HVAC, fire protection and general industrial medium and low-pressure piping systems.
The valve features a classic wafer clamping installation method. The ultra-thin body is directly fixed between two pipe flanges by through bolts, requiring no welding or extra flange connections. This structure greatly saves installation space, reduces overall pipeline weight and lowers construction and maintenance costs. Compared with flanged butterfly valves, the wafer type design is more compact and economical, making it highly suitable for limited installation environments such as equipment rooms, ceiling pipelines and intensive pipe racks.
Equipped with a high-quality electric actuator, the valve achieves fully automatic 90-degree rotary operation. The built-in motor and gear transmission system provides stable output torque, enabling fast and accurate opening and closing actions. The electric actuator features precise position control, self-locking performance and overload protection, which effectively prevents equipment damage caused by overpressure or jamming. Users can realize on-site electric control or remote centralized control through electrical signals, supporting automatic pipeline management and system linkage, which cannot be achieved by manual lever or worm gear butterfly valves.
This electric butterfly valve adopts a reliable elastic soft-sealing structure. The valve seat is available in EPDM, NBR and PTFE materials to adapt to different media and temperature conditions. The precisely processed butterfly disc fits tightly with the elastic seat to achieve bubble-tight zero leakage under rated working pressure. The streamlined disc structure minimizes fluid resistance, ensuring smooth medium circulation, low pressure loss and high pipeline transmission efficiency. The whole sealing system maintains excellent durability even after frequent switching and long-term standby operation.
In terms of material and structural reliability, the valve body is made of high-strength ductile iron with epoxy anti-corrosion coating on the surface, providing excellent rust-proof and anti-oxidation performance. The valve stem is made of high-grade stainless steel, which is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and structurally stable. All valves pass strict shell pressure and sealing tests to meet international industrial standards. The complete specification range covers DN40 to DN1200 with PN10 and PN16 pressure grades, fully meeting the requirements of most civil and industrial piping projects.
With outstanding automatic control capability, stable sealing performance and convenient installation, the electric wafer butterfly valve is widely applied in municipal water supply and drainage, building HVAC systems, industrial circulating water, sewage treatment, fire protection systems and chemical fluid pipelines. It is an essential automatic control component for modern intelligent pipeline systems, helping enterprises improve pipeline operation efficiency, reduce manual maintenance costs and realize safe and standardized fluid management.
