Water Supply Resilient Seated Gate Valve(soft-seal gate valve)is a core on-off control component specially engineered for municipal potable water,urban water supply networks,building plumbing and wastewater pipelines.Different from traditional metal-seated gate valves,it adopts an integrally rubber-vulcanized wedge gate as the sealing core,delivering bubble-tight zero leakage under rated pressure.The whole valve body is coated with fusion bonded epoxy to resist rust and meet drinking water sanitation standards,making it the most widely adopted shut-off valve in global water supply systems.

Working Principle

The valve controls water flow via vertical lifting and lowering of the rubber-coated wedge driven by the valve stem and handwheel:

Fully Open State:Rotate the handwheel counterclockwise to lift the wedge completely out of the flow passage,forming a full straight bore with minimal fluid resistance and no flow dead zone;pipeline pigging is supported.

Fully Closed State:Clockwise rotation pushes the wedge downwards.The EPDM/NBR elastic rubber on the wedge compresses tightly against the valve body’s sealing surface.Rubber elastic deformation compensates minor machining errors,sediment abrasion and assembly deviation,realizing bidirectional leak-free shutoff.

Stem multi-layer O-ring sealing prevents external water seepage during long-term underground buried use.
