Locking hard seal gate valve

1. Product Overview

Locking hard seal gate valve, also called lockable metal seated wedge gate valve, is a rigid shut-off pipeline valve for water supply, gas, sewage and industrial fluid systems.

The valve body is available in QT450 ductile iron / cast steel, blue epoxy anti-corrosion coating, standard flange connection, PN10/PN16/PN25 pressure grades. Equipped with a built-in locking mechanism on the handwheel, the valve can be locked fully open or fully closed with padlock to avoid unauthorized operation, theft or misoperation. Its metal-to-metal hard sealing pair provides tight shut-off under high temperature and high pressure conditions.

2. Working Principle

Turn the handwheel to drive the stem and wedge gate plate up and down to realize pipeline full open / full cut-off.

The hard alloy overlayed sealing surfaces of wedge and valve body form metal-to-metal zero-leakage sealing. After adjusting the valve to fully open or fully closed position, insert a padlock into the handwheel lock hole to fix the handwheel rotation, locking the valve status permanently until unlocked manually.
