1. Product Overview

The 200X Pressure Reducing & Stabilizing Valve is a classic pilot-diaphragm hydraulic control valve, part of our full X-series water control valve lineup (200X pressure reducing, 300X slow close check, 400X flow control, 500X relief sustaining, 600X solenoid control).

The valve body is cast from QT450 nodular cast iron with blue epoxy anti-corrosion coating, standard flanged connection, PN10/PN16 pressure rating. This valve automatically reduces high inlet pipeline pressure to a constant preset low outlet pressure, independent of upstream pressure fluctuation or downstream water consumption changes. It is widely adopted in municipal water distribution, high-rise buildings, fire protection, irrigation and industrial water circulation systems.

2. Working Principle

Equipped with a precision mechanical pressure pilot, the valve senses real-time outlet pressure and automatically adjusts main valve opening:

If inlet pressure rises or downstream water demand decreases → outlet pressure exceeds set value; the pilot drives the main valve to throttle down, cutting flow to lower and stabilize outlet pressure.

If inlet pressure drops or downstream water consumption surges → outlet pressure falls below target; the pilot opens the main valve wider to supply more medium and restore stable pressure.

The top red manual needle valve controls opening/closing speed to suppress water hammer and pipeline vibration during pressure adjustment. The pilot screw allows stepless adjustment of outlet working pressure on site.

3. Core Features

Built-in manual flow needle valve to slow down valve opening & closing, eliminate pressure surges and pipeline noise.

Corrosion Resistant & Zero Leakage

QT450 ductile iron body, brass pilot piping, EPDM soft sealing for tight shut-off; epoxy coating adapts to underground and indoor water pipelines.

Simple Maintenance

Pilot and diaphragm components can be replaced directly without dismounting the whole valve from the pipe network.
